Early morning drug bust nets 33 arrests

Wednesday morning, starting at 5:30am, about 40 Sabine and DeSoto Parish households got an shocking awakening, law enforcement knocking on their door looking to make arrests. The Tri-Parish Narcotics Task Force, DeSoto, Sabine, and Red River, rounded up suspected drug dealers in the area.

This event took months in the planning stages, from investigations to undercover work. The suspected dealers are what is called street level dealers, selling to the community.

During the arrests, seizures were made of drugs, money, and even guns. Between DeSoto and Sabine Parishes, 33 arrests were made.

Here is a list of the arrestees from Sabine Parish:

6. Conway B. Jones, Jr.

7. Willie Calvin Kinney

8. Joyce G. Jones

9. Harold Cortez Wolfe

10. Tony P. Kennedy

11. Willard Mitchell, Jr.

12. Garrick Antoinne King

13. Latha Joe Pegues

14. Christopher J. Holden

15. Donald Lane Hollins

16. Roland Wayne Garner

17. Omar Shrea Davis

At this time, Desoto has arrested 16 individuals in the roundup with more arrests pending as well.

Also assisting in the investigation and arrests were the Many Police Department, Natchitoches Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force, Mansfield Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
