Exploring the Marshall Train Depot and Museum

Trains.... From Casey Junior to Carney's, a hot dog shop in a train car, I love them all. That's why I was so excited to hear that Marshall was home to a historic train museum and depot.

In fact, the building itself just passed a hundred years, but you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at it. And in just 3 more years, they will be celebrating the 100th birthday of a fancy locomotive that guards the building.

From the clothing, to the history of the T & P Railroad, the Marshall Train Museum has it all, even the kind of fashions that train employees wore. It's probably good I'm not a train conductor, I don't think those hats would look very good on me.

While the grounds of the train depot look phenomenal now, that wasn't always the case. During the time the depot wasn't being used, the building became somewhat dilapidated. It wasn't until a grant came, that the board was able to restore the area to the its full potential.
