Florida mom allegedly forced her three daughters to work as prostitutes
(CNN) — A police sting operation catches a Florida mother allegedly forcing her teenage daughters to work as prostitutes.
The mother faces a number of charges, including child abuse.
50-year-old Paula Howard arrested on a number of charges including child abuse and deriving support from proceeds of prostitution when according to sheriff's records she had her three daughters approach them for sexual favors.
"It's certainly not common and as soon as the deputies found out about this they aggressively worked this case they put together the special operation in order to arrest the mother."
According to the sheriff's department undercover officers pulled up to this bus stop Thursday afternoon when Paula Howard sent her daughter to approach them.
"She motioned for her daughter to come over to the deputy. The daughter went over to the deputy and told him she would exchange money for sexual acts."
18-year old Samantha Howard left with the officer and was arrested for prostitution... but that didn't stop there.
"The mother saw another man at the same bus stop and told her second daughter to approach the deputy and the same incident happened."
Her 17 and 16 year old daughters were taken into protective custody because of their ages.
Officers say Howard admitted to doing drugs often with her daughters and it doesn't appear they have a permanent residence in the Kissimmee area.
Paula Howard is being held on a $36,000 bond.
