Former Shreveport fireman arrested after an ongoing investigation
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police have arrested a Shreveport man after an ongoing investigation into criminal activity.
In late July of 2013, Shreveport Police investigators were called to a complaint for criminal activity at a Shreveport Fire Station in the 3400 block of Velva Street.
Based on information gathered in the investigation, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Derrick N. Harris, 50, of Shreveport.
Harris was an employee of Shreveport Fire Department with one count of cruelty to the infirm and one count of principal to prostitution.
Police took Harris into custody without incident and he was booked into Shreveport City Jail. His bond is set at $105,000.
