Fort Polk Progress asking citizens to assemble
Leesville, LA (KMSS) — Fort Polk Progress is encouraging civic organizations, school groups, cheerleaders, and church groups across Central Louisiana and East Texas to line the streets of Leesville at 3:30 p.m. on Monday April 15 along La. 467 to 3rd Street, then Texas to the First United Pentecostal Church at 101 Nolan Trace.
This is the route that the Department of the Army officials will take to the church for the Community Listening Meeting which starts at 5 p.m at the United Pentecostal Church in Leesville.
This is all in response to the thousands of comments of people from across the nation that submitted their comments to the Department of the Army concerning possible troop reductions at Fort Polk.
The meeting will provide an oppurtunity for the Department of the Army to gather additional information concerning the Army 2020 Force Restructure decision.
