Shreveport, La (KMSS) — A northwest Louisiana fugitive is finally behind bars after being on the run for more than a month.
Back on December 17, Shreveport authorities were called to a shooting in the 2500 block of Drexel Drive. When police made it to the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
The victims, who were identified as Damien Dallas, 20, and Kevin Hopper, 26, both of Shreveport, were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Since the shooting, detectives were able to produce Justin Barr, 29, of Shreveport as the alleged gunman.
On January 4, at around 8:00 p.m., U.S. Marshal agents were able to catch Barr at a house in the 4900 block of Broadway Avenue in Shreveport. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a warrant. His bail is set $150,000.
