Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Authorities have released images of an armed ATM robbery that happened earlier this week in hopes of identifying the gunman.
On Sunday, at about 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the reports of an armed robbery of a person at the Chase Bank ATM in the 1700 block of Line Avenue.
When police got to the scene, the victim told them she and a family member were parked at the drive-through when two masked men, one armed with a gun, approached their vehicle, pointed the weapon and demanded money.
During the heist, the robbers allegedly jumped into the back seat of the victim's car and forced her to drive to a secluded area a short distance away, where they took an undisclosed amount of cash from her purse. They then ran from the scene. No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspects were described as two black males, both about five feet nine inches tall. The armed suspect reportedly wore a white hockey type mask covering his face, while the second wore a blue shirt pulled over his face.
Investigators are working at this hour to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this robbery. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or Detective John Jackson at (318) 673-6955.
