More than a dozen high school seniors may not be walking this coming may.

This comes after an investigation was launched to find out who hacked Southwood High School's online system.

Eighteen senior students hacked the school's e20-20 program--an online course at the campus.

Victor Mainiero of the Caddo Parish School Board says they are taking the offense seriously.

"We're getting into whether students will actually have a credit or not to graduate. it could be whether they receive their diploma or not for this particular semester. could be whether they walk for graduation or not, so it is severe."

The students are being investigated individually.

Penalties will depend on what their part was in the hacking.

They will go to expulsion hearings in the coming days.
