Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — A homeless man is now in stable condition, following a brutal stabbing that happened Wednesday night, just off the 20 in Shreveport.
A homeless man had set up his camp near the intersection of Sam R. Fertitta and Southern Avenue, and was relaxing when a man came up to him. The victim told police that the other man had come up to him, attempting to rob him when a struggle broke out.
The victim told police that the would-be robber took out a gun and stabbed and cut him many times.
Police took the victim to the hospital, where they began treating him immediately.
Authorities are still looking for the man responsible for this crime, but are hopeful that they will catch the man shortly.
