Marshall, Tx (KMSS) — Authorities in East Texas have made an arrest in the case of a man who died after being stabbed.

Wednesday night, around 11:30pm, Marshall Police Officers as well as Fire and Ambulance personnel responded to a stabbing in the 500 block of W. Meredith. 

When they arrived, they found 39 year old, William Ashley Alford of Marshall with several stab wounds. Alford was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police have charged Alford's juvenile step-son with 1st degree murder, believing him to be the person that stabbed Alford. He was arrested and is current;y at Willoughby Juvenile Detention Center.

This investigation is still ongoing, and details are still emerging.
