SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — Leap test scores were released by the Louisiana Department of Education this week and one local school is ending the school year on a high note with 16% higher test scores than last year.
Faculty and students at Central Park Elementary School in Bossier Parish showed the highest numbers throughout the entire system.
Bossier Schools made significant gains in students’ performance scores on the tests as well ranking 10th in Louisiana on the list of most improved districts.
Principal Suzette Hadden credits dedicated teachers and the hardworking student body for the boost in test numbers this year.
“As a school, we feel that those are our biggest impacts in what happened this year, the teachers were committed, they believed in their students and as a result, we had a nice increase in scores," said Hadden.
