July is water awareness month and one local organization is asking residents to be pro-active. Shreveport Green is conducting project clean water.
The project is designed to encourage residents on how to protect and save water.
The State Bond Commission approved over $344.7 million for projects statewide and approximately $5.6 million in savings from refinancing existing public debt at its June 20 meeting, according to State Treasurer John Kennedy.

Residents in parts of Keatchie, Louisiana are under a boil advisory.
