A man was arrested after he allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend unconscious and kidnapped her.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred at roughly 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10. We’re told the suspect, Jason Lee Livas, 28, went to his ex’s home located between Thibodaux and Schriever.

Officials say Livas attacked his 35-year-old ex-girlfriend. He allegedly took her from the home and placed her in the back of a car.

Reports indicate that deputies spotted the gold Toyota Camry and Livas was standing nearby. His ex was inside the car and she reportedly had bruising on her face, head and body.

Deputies approached Livas to question him about the incident, however, they say he took off running.

Deputies managed to apprehend Livas. He was placed under arrest and charged with Second-Degree Kidnapping and Second-Degree Battery. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
