Man arrested in Shreveport shooting

Authorities have arrested a local man accused of shooting two men along a stretch of Interstate 20 in west Shreveport earlier this week.

On May 14, 2014, Shreveport Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Greenwood Road in response to a shooting.

Upon arrival, it was learned Tyreon Woodard 18, and Christopher Jackson 19, received gunshot wounds after their vehicle was shot at by another car.

Since the investigation into the shooting began, Shreveport Police have gathered information and evidence linking a Shreveport man to the crime.

LaBroderick Gandy 22, was named as a suspect in the shooting and had since had a warrant issued for his arrest.

On May 16, 2014, patrol officers conducting a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Poland Street, located Gandy inside the vehicle along with two hand guns. It has not been determined in the weapons discovered in the car were used in the crime.

Gandy was taken into custody on the warrant charging him with attempted second degree murder and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

Bond has been set at $200,000.
