Shreveport, La — Early Sunday morning, Shreveport were called to the 6200 block of Henderson Street, where a man had collapsed after being stabbed.
According to neighbors, 42 year old Jerry Coleman of Shreveport, was trying to break up a fight that was happening between a group of women when a group of men started hitting the women. Coleman kept trying to break up the fight, even though he was outnumbered. Neighbors think adrenaline kicked in, because Coleman didn't realize he had been stabbed multiple times in the lower torso until he collapsed on a tree stump, leaving blood splatters behind.
Coleman was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
No suspects descriptions were provided to the police and no arrests have been made in this case. Neighbors say that events like Sunday morning's stabbing are very unusual for the area, and they hope stay an extremely rare occurrence in the neighborhood.
