SHREVEPORT, La. (KMSS) — Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne is holding a free football camp for kids on Saturday, June 29, at Independence Stadium.
This is the second straight year the former Fair Park and LSU star has conducted a camp for kids between the ages of 10-18. Last year, about 500 participants covered Independence Stadium to receive instruction from ``Mo’’ and several of his LSU teammates.
The Cowboys drafted Claiborne No. 6 overall in last year’s NFL Draft. As a rookie starter, he had 55 tackles, 1 interception and returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown that clinched a late-season victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with camp activities starting promptly at 10 a.m. In addition to free instruction, participants will receive a t-shirt and a box lunch courtesy of Raising Cane’s.
