Austin, TX (KMSS) — Gus Matthew Soto, 27, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, is now in custody after being arrested on Friday, April 26, in Spring, Texas. Soto had a long criminal history and was wanted for aggravated robbery with a firearm and parole violation.
Soto, a Texas Syndicate gang member, was arrested Friday after an investigation led authorities to a Spring residence where he was arrested without incident. Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation and capture, including U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division and Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested 15 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including six gang members, and $23,500 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests. The cash rewards are funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division.
