Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — City officials from various departments will soon hit the streets in Shreveport for a city wide initiative this month.
Operation “Tbone” will take place starting next Wednesday.
The initiative, which stands for taking back our neighborhoods every day was started by the city when Mayor Cedric Glover took office. The project is designed to hold property owners responsible for debris violations.
Dorothy Parnell who oversees the department says that the project will play a major part in Shreveport’s future.
"When people buy a house, they buy that entire neighborhood; they buy the entire street and all it takes is for one house to have violations," said Parnell.
Dumpsters will also be placed throughout the city for debris disposal during the project. For more information you can contact the Department of Property Standards at (318) 673-6200.
