Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — The Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission is looking at some major expansion. Although still in the early stages, the organization is looking to purchase the Hamilton Terrace Learning Center.
The building has been vacant for 4 years and belongs to the Caddo Parish School System.
Executive Director D.J. Hejtmanek says the potential expansion will help the organization serve more people.
“A lot of times we have to turn people away because we don't have beds for them, so this will just give us more capacity to be able to serve."
The Caddo Parish School Board will first have to approve the purchase.
