Tuesday, April 30, 2013 - 3:50pm

The Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport is turning 5 years old. The local theater is celebrating its’ mark as one of Shreveport’s popular and unique attractions.

The popular theater is known for its' front stage support of independent film across America and right here in the Ark-La-Tex.

“For the people who were involved with the start up of this facility, its absolutely a mile stone because a lot of people didn't think that an independent film center in downtown Shreveport Louisiana would make it 6 months, much less 5 years," said President Waynette Ballengee.

The center is planning an official celebration this coming Sunday, from 2p.m till 4p.m at the Robinson Film Center located at 617 Texas Street.
