Shreveport, La — State Representative Barbara Norton (D-Shreveport), Bishop Larry L. Brandon, and Caddo Parish Commissioner Ken Epperson will host a press conference to discuss preventative steps, in the wake of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The press conference will be held tomorrow at 9:15 a.m., at Mooretown Branch Library, 4360 Hollywood Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71109.
The public is invited to join elected officials, law agency officials, educators, ministers, security representatives from local schools and universities, and parents, to discuss possible prevention methods to keep these senseless acts from happening in Shreveport and Bossier City. During the press conference, Rep. Norton will also make an announcement related to her plans in becoming proactive to protect Louisiana from these types of acts in the future.
