Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Opened in 1975, Panos Diner served its last meal Friday.
About a year ago, Andrew, 74 and Chris, 77, decided that it was time to retire, but none of their children wanted to carry on the family business, so they decided to sell the building.
The restaurant started out serving traditional Greek fare, but over time became well known for their Southern staples as well.
Customers say they will miss the quirky tables and chairs, all bolted to the ground, the food, the atmosphere, but most of all the people. After 38 years, the Panos brothers and their employees became family to some long time customers.
