The arrests continue as the Robbery Intervention Detail tightens it's clenches on suspected robbers and thieves.

Three suspects in at least two separate crimes are behind bars following their arrests by Shreveport Police. Back on September 15, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported purse snatching in the 9500 block of Mansfield Road at the Wal-Mart Super Center. Authorities at that time were advised by the victim that she was walking to her car in the parking lot of the business, when she was approached by a man and a woman who drove alongside her. The victim alleged that the man yelled at her, turning her attention towards him, during which time he allegedly sprayed what was believed to be mace in her facial area. The victim alleged that during the attack, the woman accomplice snatched her purse as the duo fled the scene. On November 15, 2012, Shreveport Police Detectives received information that a man and woman couple had been arrested earlier in the week by Natchitoches Parish officials on unrelated charges, and were possibly involved in crimes here locally. Upon their extradition back to Caddo Parish, the man and woman were interviewed by robbery investigators. The woman was identified as 29 year old Tracey Thornton of Shreveport along with her male counterpart 29 year old Jason East, also of Shreveport. Based on information and evidence gathered during the investigation, detectives charged both Thornton and East with purse snatching. They remain jailed at the Caddo Correctional Center.

Investigators made yet another arrest, this time for an armed robbery of the Kangaroo Express gas station located in the 6900 block of West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in Shreveport. Authorities responded to the store on Friday November 16, 2012 after receiving report that a male armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered the store, pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. After making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene. Evidence gathered at the scene of the crime was able to link 23 year old Donald Hobley of the 700 block of Kingridge Place in Shreveport to the crime. Hobley, as a result of the evidence was picked up by Robbery Intervention Detail officers within an hour of the robbery. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Hobley was allegedly responsible for a second armed robbery occurring at the Circle K convenience store in the 8900 block of Walker Road back on November 12, 2012. Authorities expect additional charges against Hobley related to at least one other robbery in Shreveport. The investigation continues at this hour.
