New York (News 12 New Jersey, LLC) — One of the 80's favorite toys, the Rubik's Cube, is officially "over the hill".
The iconic, multi-colored cube turns 40-years old this year.
In honor of the occasion, the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey opened an entire exhibit dedicated to it.
"Beyond Rubik's Cube" explores not only the cube, but its influence on science, technology and the arts over its four decades.
Paul Hoffman, CEO at the Liberty Science Center says, "It's led to musicians using Rubik's Cube to make music. Each twist corresponds with bringing on a new instrument or new sound, so you can make music here."
The New Jersey showing is just the first stop on a nationwide tour of the exhibit.
