Salvation Army short on bell ringers

The Shreveport Salvation Army is short $50,000 from it's much need Christmas Kettle fund-raiser. The organization is asking the public to give  generously to help others.

The Salvation Army is in desperate need of volunteer bell ringers. Please Call 424-3200 and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator.
The group needs volunteer organizations, church groups, associations, schools etc. to pick a location to ring the bell.

Organizations will be asked  to man a location for a total of 8 hours on Saturday, Dec 22 9:00 am-6:00 pm. A group of 12 people is recommended.

It cost's The Salvation Army $3.5 Million a year to operate it's many year round programs, including Social Service, shelter, seniors, emergency services and The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club. 83 cents of every dollar goes to direct services.
