Sci-Port spring camps sneak in science

Kids taking part in camp at Sci-Port this week likely had no idea that when they hung out with hawks and raptors today, they were actually learning about science, which was exactly the goal Sci-Port had in mind when they scheduled to bring in the predatory birds.

Getting children excited in math and sciences is always a challenge for schools and teachers, but places like Sci-Port allow for kids to have fun, along with a side of science.

While important for all, Sci-Port loves when they can get females excited about science. Nationwide, there is a lack of females in the math and science field. Sci-Port hopes to combat that by getting girls excited in science from an early age.
