Shared Harvest Community Kitchen preps for Thanksgiving dinner

Thursday, November 22, 2012 - 7:56am

Shared Harvest Community Kitchen in Bossier City, serves dinner to the needy 4 nights a week, but wanted Thanksgiving to be special for their patrons, so they spent hours on Wednesday preparing for a Thanksgiving feast.

The free meal will consist of all the Thanksgiving standards: turkey, stuffing, green beans and cranberries. And just like the dinner prepared in homes nationwide, this dinner will be served with a side of love as well.

The Shared Harvest Community Kitchen lunch will be served from 11:30am until 1pm, and is open to all.  They are located at 2125 Airline Drive in Bossier City. The dinner will be served in the gymnasium, behind the church.

For days other than today, they also serve dinner to the hungry 4 nights a week, Monday-Thursday.

While much of the Thanksgiving preparations are already done, they are always looking for donations and volunteers.  For more information, visit their Facebook page.
