
Shreveport, La (KMSS) — Authorities have released the name of man who was killed in a shooting that occurred Monday evening in west Shreveport.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a reports of shots fired in the 2500 block of Mabel Street in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood. When authorities made it to the scene, they discovered a man had been shot by a person who reportedly darted from the area following the shooting.
The victim, who has been identified as Montrell Webber, 20, of Shreveport, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later..
Investigators arrested Cordavien Anderson, 20, of Shreveport after he was developed as a suspect. Anderson, who surrendered last night, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and has been charged with second degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
