Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Late Thursday afternoon, the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance followed up on a promise they had told Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover would be coming.
Getting in just before the 3 day weekend, the alliance was able to file the necessary paperwork to sue Glover.
At Monday's City Council meeting, Glover was asked to reconsider his veto of the proposed dog park. Seeing his refusal to sign the necessary paper work, the Dog Park Alliance decided to take the matter out of the mayor's hands entirely.
They have worded their request to ask that a judge require the mayor to sign the papers to put the plans for the already-funded dog park into action.
The Mayor's Office has confirmed that the mayor was served the paperwork, but it is their policy not to comment on pending litigation.
