Shreveport man accused of sexually assaulting teens over 21-year span
Shreveport, La — A Shreveport man sits behind bars this evening charged with multiple counts of molestation of a juvenile following his arrest by police detectives this afternoon.
The arrest of 58 year old of Willie L. Johnson came on the heels of an investigation launched by authorities into allegations that Johnson molested a 13 year old male juvenile over a recent period of time. During their probe, detectives assigned to the case were able to determine that not only had Johnson allegedly committed sexual acts against the 13 year old male; four additional male victims were located who rendered similar accusations against Johnson. Authorities believe that upwards of 20 additional male juveniles may have been victimized by Johnson over a period spanning roughly 21 years.
Johnson, who remains jailed on a $500,000 bond was arrested by police on a warrant while at his home in the 8900 block of Rosewood Lane in Shreveport. Investigators also served a corresponding search warrant at Johnson's home. Johnson is charged with four counts of molestation of a juvenile and one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone that may have been victims of Johnson to come forward with their information.
