Shreveport man arrested after several shots fired into the air this afternoon
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police have arrested a man who fired several shots this afternoon following a dispute in Shreveport.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday when police were called to the 200 block of West 80th Street after receiving reports of shots being fired in the area.
On arrival, officials learned that Kenneth Wayne Robinson, 28, of Shreveport, was seen fleeing on foot a short distance from where the shots were fired. Witnesses reported heraing roughly five to six shots being discharged.
Following a search of the area, officers found Robinson inside a home located in the 8000 block of Saint Vincent Avenue.\
Robinson was taken into to custody without incident.
Authorities also found a handgun inside the home believed to have been used during the commission of the shooting.
After interviews with Robinson, officials found that Robinson had fired several shots following some sort of dispute involving a group of individuals that were known to him.
Robinson was booked into Shreveport City Jail on charges of possession of a firearm and six unrelated misdemeanor warrants for varying offenses.
No one was injured in this icident.
