A Shreveport man was jailed over the weekend for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple people over two decades.

Jimmy Carthren, 62, of Shreveport, was taken into custody on Saturday for raping four juveniles, and possibly even others, according to the Shreveport Police Department. Detectives were able to link him to allegations that spanned several decades.

Carthren was arrested on an outstanding warrant by the Shreveport sex crimes unit. The warrant charged him with four counts of aggravated rape. He was later booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

Investigators believe Carthren may have other victims, whom have not come forward. Authorities are making an appeal to those potential victims.

Carthren bail was set at $600,000. The case remains under investigation.
