Shreveport man hospitalized after being shot during a dispute

A Shreveport man was hospitalized Saturday night after he was shot during a dispute.

Shreveport Police Department's Community Response Unit was called to the 3400 block of Clarke Boulevard around 6:10 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found Kendric Bracken, 29, suffering from gunshot wounds to the left arm and left ankle.

Bracken was take to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After further investigation, authorities found the victim was wounded by Darious Shivers, 26, during an argument between the two.

Shivers fled the scene but was later found by police in the 3400 block of Pleasant Drive in Shreveport.

Shivers was booked into Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated battery and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
