Shreveport Police looking for person(s) involved in late night shooting
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police are currently trying to identify and arrest the person or persons that were responsible for an overnight shooting in Shreveport's Queensbourough neighborhood that injured a local man.
It happened just after 9:00 p.m. Monday night in the 3100 block of West College Street when police were called to the scene of a shooting.
On arrival, officers found the victim, Napoleon Gilbert, 61, of Shreveport, who had not been shot but was slightly injured during the incident. Shreveport Fire Department treated Gilbert at the scene.
Detectives were notified and based on the information and evidence gathered during the early stages of the investigation, they have found that Gilbert was in his home on West College Street when at least one suspect outside his home began firing shots.
Gilber's home was struck several times.
