Shreveport crews are currently battling a fire at a local recycling company.

At around 2 p.m., officials received a call for help from Pratt Industries located at the Port of Caddo-Bossier.

Fire officials tell KMSS that bails of recycling paper, cardboard and other materials in their yard went up in flames.

Firefighters are assisting the recycling company in spraying water on the burning materials. So far, the fire has not spread to other areas of the plant, including a nearby building.

At this time, the blaze appears to be under control, but crews are still working to extinguish flames.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

No injuries have been reported.
