Shreveport teen shot in leg following alleged fight

A Shreveport Teenager was shot Wednesday night following an alleged fight between family members.

At 9:00 p.m, authorities were dispatched to the 5200 block of Kent Avenue on reports of a shooting. When police first arrived, witnesses told them two people had been shot and a third had been grazed by a bullet.

During interviews, investigator discovered one person -- not three -- had been shot. The victim was identified as a 14-year-old boy. He was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and released shortly thereafter. The other two person involved sustained minor injuries as a results of an alleged earlier fight.
