Shreveport Waffle House robbed at gunpoint

UPDATE: Shreveport Police are still looking for the two suspects in this armed robbery. They believe that one is a black male, and the other is either a white or very light skinned black male.

Detectives are investigating whether this robbery is related to an armed robbery of a local bar two days ago. In that robbery, the suspects had a shotgun similar to the one described in this case.

ORIGINAL:Shreveport detectives are working at this hour to identify two men responsible for a local Waffle House robbery.

At 4:33 a.m., on Thursday, officers were dispatched to reports of an armed robbery at the business located on the 6100 block of Financial Plaza Drive. When they arrived on scene, witnesses told police two men, one armed with a shotgun, entered the restaurant and demanded money from employees.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, both robbers ran from the business on foot. No injuries were reported.

The thieves are described as black males, wearing ski masks and dark clothing. 

Investigators are working at this time to recover surveillance video footage from the restaurant.
