South Highlands Elementary raises money for Salvation Army

Students at South Highland Elementary Magnet in Shreveport decided to give up presents for classmates, and use the money they would have spent on them buying presents for the Salvation Army's Christmas Angel program.

Along with that, Saturday the 15th, they will also have their TigerTrot 5k run and fun run, raising money and toys for the program as well.

The TigerTrot kicks off at South Highlands Elementary at 861 Erie, right off Line Avenue. The fun run will begin at 8am, and the 5k at 8:30.
