Texarkana Police searching for armed robbery suspect

Texarkana Texas Police have identified one of two robbery suspects from an overnight robbery of a local convenience store that occurred on January 17, 2014.

An arrest warrant for aggravated robbery has been issued for Calvin Don Whaley. He is a 33 year old black male who is 5’10” and weighs about 160 pounds. Whaley, who goes by the nickname of “C-Note”, has a tattoo on his neck and acne scarring on his face. He is believed to be staying at an unknown residence in the Texarkana area. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Whaley also has a warrant for parole violation.

At approximately 3:07 a.m. on January 17, two male subjects entered a convenience store located in the 5100 block of Summerhill Road and made a small cash transaction. One of the subjects then produced a black semi-automatic pistol and ordered the clerk to open the cash register. After both subjects pulled money from the register drawer, one of them came behind the counter and took several packages of cigarettes and lighters. Both then fled the store on foot.

Anyone with information on Whaley’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
