Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Three male juveniles face charges after being found throwing objects onto a stretch of Interstate 49 near Southeast Shreveport yesterday.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. Friday night, Shreveport Police officers were called by several people about objects being thrown onto Interstate 49 damaging nearly half a dozen vehicles.
On arrival officers at the scene found several victimes who said that while traveling south bound along different stretches of the interstate near 3132, their vehicles were struck by foreign objects from above. While there were no serious injuries to report, at least two people were taken to local hospitals for treatment for minor injuries from flying glass.
After investigation, three juvenile males ranging in ages of 12 to 15 were taken by police as having possible involvement in the crime. The three men were later taken to the police station with their parents.
After interviews with authorities, all three men were booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Complex where they face several counts of felony aggravated criminal property damage.
