Shreveport, La (KMSS) — Thanks to the help of a tipster, a wanted was caught by authorities Wednesday afternoon.
Quincy Young, 30, of Shreveport, was taken into custody, accused of robbing a west Shreveport hotel earlier this week.
At around 2:00 p.m., on Monday, police were called to the 4900 block of West Monkhouse Drive on reports of an armed robbery. While at the scene, detectives were able to gather information and surveillance video of the crime.
After the video was aired on several media outlets, authorities received a flood of calls on whom the suspect may be.
One of those tips led police to a home on the 4000 block of Marion Place, where officers arrested Young. The suspected getaway car was also sitting outside the house.
During the arrest, police were able to recover a gun believed to be used in the robbery.
Young was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on an armed robbery charge.
