Two people in Caddo Parish were arrested Tuesday for allegedly operating meth labs.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, agents were tipped off about the labs on the 5900 block of Jefferson Paige and the 6300 block of South Lakeshore Drive from concerned citizens.

Raymond Gipson, 30, was caught in a friend's shed on the Jefferson Paige location making meth. Agents said Gipson was in possession of four clandestine labs, all of which were located in the backyard shed.

Gipson was arrested for manufacturing schedule II narcotics and possession of a clandestine lab.

In a related investigation, Kelly Johnson, 50, was arrested for possession of a clandestine lab after authorities found a lab in the back of her truck parked in a driveway at the South Lakeshore location. Items used to make meth were also found in the garage.

According to officials, all labs were explosive in nature, but were rendered safe before calling for a Baton Rouge clean-up crew to dispose of the hazardous chemicals.

Both Gipson and Johnson were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
