Shreveport, La (KMSS) — Two men were jailed last week after a reported shooting at a north Shreveport park.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, officer were dispatched to the David Raines Recreation Center to an alleged shooting between two people.
When authorities arrived at the scene, shell casings were found on the ground. Soon after finding the gun shells, police identified Haston Smith, 21, and Antonio Thomas, 25, both of Shreveport, as the men involved in the violent argument, according to the Shreveport Police Department.
No injuries were reported during the incident, however, a car was damaged by stray bullets.
Smith and Thomas were arrested and charged with illegal use of a weapon. Thomas received an additional charg of possession of a firearm from a prior conviction. Both men were booked into the Shreveport City jail.
