UL Lafayette bomb threat suspect arrested

Multiple police agencies announced they've arrested Devin Haywood, 30, in connection with a bomb threat that caused the evacuation of UL Lafayette last week.

Lafayette, LA Police officials say Haywood is currently in the St. Martin Parish jail on federal charges, and he will be transferred to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center at a later time. Lafayette Police have also charged Haywood in connection with a bank robbery of the MidSouth Bank on Moss Street which happened just hours after he allegedly called in the suspicious device on the UL Lafayette campus. 

Police aren't releasing many details, citing their ongoing investigation. They did say Haywood is a New Orleans, LA, native who was most recently living in Lafayette, LA. Police say additional arrests are possible as they continue their investigation.
