UPDATE: Gas leak in south Caddo Parish closes road

Thursday, March 28, 2013 - 5:31pm

UPDATE:

Caddo Fire Officials have put meters on the well to check the air levels, which show that there is a condensed mist blowing from the well. There is a south wind of about 6-8 miles that is keeping the gas from cumulating in one area, but the smell of gas is still in the air.

A representative from the company that manages the well has just arrived on the scene, and officials are hopeful the leak will be stopped soon.

Keith Hall Road at Keithville Springridge Road is still closed as officials continue to work on the leak and officials are asking people in the area not to light any fires as a precaution.
