Friday, March 1, 2013 - 1:09pm

U.S. Marshal agents were able to capture a wanted Plain Dealing man who had been running from the law since early February.

On February 7, police were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 5200 block of Kent Street. Responding officers discovered a 15-year-old boy was suffering from a minor gunshot wound to his leg.

Detectives learned La Calvin Williams, of Shreveport, was the suspected shooter.

On Thursday, agents with the U.S. Marshals service found Williams in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He was arrested and charged with illegal use of a weapon.

Authorities learned Williams had also escaped officers back on February 15, when they attempted to take him into custody.

Following his arrest, the alleged gunman was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Jail. His bail was set at $50,000.
