CNN — A southeast Texas woman has been accused of killing her ex-husband and living with his body for a week before a relative discovered him and called the police.
Daniel Dubois was known for being a nice guy and always being outside his home working on vehicles to sell and then neighbors say, a week ago, he disappeared. Neighbors say the only one they had seen is Dubois ex-wife, Gayle Waller.
Port Arthur police said the victim's brother made a startling discovery, Dubois' body inside his own home.
Waller is accused of stabbing Dubois, wrapping him in a blanket and leaving him to die, all the while, Waller stayed at the home.
Police believe Dubois was killed around 11:00 p.m., October 26, an entire week before his body was found.
Police say Waller gave statements to detectives about her ex-husband's death that were proven by physical evidence that led them to issue an arrest warrant.
