Warrant issued for man in Shreveport shooting
Shreveport — A Shreveport man is being sought by police in connection with a shooting that injured a local man earlier this month.
Back on March 1, 2014, Shreveport Police officers responded to a shooting that occurred near the intersection of Burke Street and Parkridge Street in west Shreveport. Upon officers arrival at the scene, they discovered the victim, an 18 year old male, suffering a single gunshot wound to the leg. The man, whose injuries were considered to be non life threatening, refused medical treatment.
Since the shooting, Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives have gathered evidence and information linking 20 year old Jamrzia Leonard of the 6400 block of Quillen Boulevard in Shreveport to the crime. Investigators have procured a warrant for the arrest of Leonard, who now faces a single count of Aggravated Second Degree Battery. Bond in the matter has been set at 100,000.00.
