Wife arrested for shooting husband four times during domestic dispute

A woman was arrested for attempted murder for allegedly shooting her husband numerous times.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occured in the early morning on Sunday, March 17. We’re told deputies were called to a home in Hammond on Kellie Drive at roughly 2:00 a.m. When deputies arrived, they saw a vehicle leaving the residence. The car reportedly did not have on its headlights.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Alesha Douglas, 42. She told deputies that her husband was inside their home and he was “armed and irrational.”

When deputies entered the home, they found her husband, Brian Douglas, 43, suffering from four gunshot wounds. Investigators learned that the woman had shot her husband when the two were engaged in a domestic dispute.

Brian Douglas was transported to a local hospital for treatement of his injuries. His wounds are considered non-life threatening and he is currently in stable condition.

Alesha Douglas was arrested and charged with Attempted-Second Degree Murder.
