Woman arrested and faces murder charges for stabbing her boyfriend
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police have charged a local woman in a stabbing death that claimed the life of a Shreveport man this morning.
Just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Shreveport Police were called to a stabbing at an apartment complex located in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road. On arrival, officers found the body of a deceased male inside the home. It appeared that the victim was suffering from at least one stab wound to the chest. The man, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities contacted Betty Terrell, 39, of Shreveport, who was inside the home when officers arrived. After speaking with Terrell, she told police that she had stabbed the man whom she was dating during a dispute between the two.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives along with crime scene investigators were called to the home where they immediately launched an investigation. During subsequent interviews with investigators.
Terrell was taken into custody and now faces charges of murder, she was then booked into Shreveport City Jail.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
